Iām an architectural communications specialist. I use techniques like reputation management, engagement, brand building, publishing and film-making to smooth the path of great architecture. But I believe the most direct way to help great architecture succeed is to train architects themselves in the skills of face-to-face communications with their stakeholders.
In 2023 I opened Design Communication Training to distil what I've learnt into a communication skills training course, to demystify the simple skills of how to talk to clients and stakeholders and to help great architects claim the recognition and influence their work deserves.
I've worked with some of the world's most effective architectural communicators and leaders of global practices. I've learnt first hand what techniques they use to get ambitious ideas approved and built.
Between 2006 and 2012 I had the unique chance to collaborate with each of the visiting global architects of the annual Serpentine Gallery Pavilion programme.
I've held Communications Director roles for two of the UK's most sought after architecture practices Heatherwick Studio and David Chipperfield Architects, and advised architects and developers of some of the largest projects around the world on how to connect with their stakeholders.
